Q: Are your buffalo grass fed?
A: Our animals are born and raised on the range. We finish them on a special buffalo ration prior to processing.
Q: Why have your buffalo on a ration?
A: The taste and quality of bison raised only on rangeland varies over the course of a year, depending on the amount of rainfall and available types of vegetation. By feeding a ration after bringing our animals in from the range we can give you the best quality meat—regardless of the weather.
Q: Do you feed antibiotics or use steroids to your bison or elk?
A: No, we do not feed antibiotics, use steroids, or any other artificial growth stimulants.
Q: How old are the buffalo that you use for your meat?
A: Our steak and roasts are made from bulls between 18 and 30 months of age to achieve the best flavor and quality of meat. Jerky and burger sometimes often come from older animals.
Q: Can you provide me with instructions on how to prepare the meat?
A: Yes, we will be glad to share whatever information you may need.
Q: Can you get me products or different portions of products other than what is shown on your site?
A: We can usually get any cut of meat. It’s best to contact us early, as we sometimes have to make the request on our next trip to the butcher.

Shipping Questions

Q: Can you ship meat to me in the hot months of summer?
A: Yes. We use some of the best shipping coolers on the market and pack with plenty of dry ice to ensure your products arrive in excellent condition.
Q: What if I’m not home? Will the delivery person leave the package at my house?
A: Drivers will often leave a package, but may not if it looks hazardous to the safety of your package or if you live in an apartment building. If you have special instructions for the delivery person—such as "Please leave on back porch."—please enter them under the “Delivery Instructions” section during checkout.
Q: What if I need the package to arrive after a certain day of the week?
A: We’re more than happy to adjust the ship date of your order. We’ll work with you to coordinate the delivery of your package.
Q: Can you ship to a friend or family member for me?
A: Yes, so long as you can tell us where they live! We’ll always send your order to whatever address that you request shipment to. If you have special requests, such a special delivery target on the calendar or a personal message you’d like for us to include, we’ll do so at no additional charge.
